Lennox Mutual is a piece of ‘alternate reality theater’, delivered for an audience of one: that’s you!
What’s even better is that Lennox Mutual comes to you: the entire show is facilitated via a series of telephone calls, in 20 minute increments.
You are a prospective customer of Lennox Mutual, a life en-surance company: designed to help you make the most of the time you have. Your objective is to make an appointment, and to do so, a friendly customer service representative will guide you through what appears to be a normal customer service phone menu.
But there’s nothing normal about this phone menu, and there’s nothing normal about the customer service representative helping you through your journey. Before you know it, your time is up, and you need to book another call. When you call back, your menu options will change (though not in the way you may think), and you’ll be off again.
Lennox Mutual pulls from a few different sources of inspiration: immersive theater, escape rooms, alternate reality gaming, therapy, Dungeons & Dragons, and customer service bureaucracy.
Most importantly: Lennox Mutual remembers you.
Everything you say, the choices you make, your hesitations, fears, hopes, dreams, and memories, are all recorded and confidentially kept for Lennox Mutual to curate your experience, just for you. As the team of friendly Customer Service Representatives learn more about you, your time with Lennox Mutual gets more personal and intense.
No two prospective customers will ever have the same journey. While we’re all heading towards the same ending, the way each prospective customer gets there is so different that there’s a lot of fun in just comparing calls with other people. Some customers have been able to make an appointment in less than 40 calls; some customers are still making their way on call 70.
Lennox Mutual is not pre-recorded, and is not AI. You are paired with one of three Customer Service Representatives each session — either Josephine, Gabriel, or Sasha (played by one of seven different voice actors) — who facilitate the session just for you.
The best way to try Lennox Mutual is to book a pack of three calls (one call is not enough to get started) for just $49 on the Candle House Collective website: https://www.candlehousecollective.com/tickets/lennoxmutual
