I was in Morocco for a two week trip in 2023. I flew into Casablanca and spent a few days alone before joining a Gate 1 guided tour group for their ‘Ten Day Classic Morocco‘ tour, which I had some qualms about but ultimate ended up appreciating.
Morocco was my first country in Africa, and I’m actually returning in 2026!
Patricia And Mario
I had an incredible time being the guest of Patricia and Mario, who run a small one-room bed and breakfast on the outskirts of Casablanca. Better hospitality is hard to find, and absolutely incredible breakfasts and an absolute sanctuary of a garden. They no longer regularly take bookings, which is a damn shame, but if that changes, their Airbnb profile is here.
